Highland cattle are one of the oldest registered breeds in the world, traced back to the rugged hills of Scotland. Their long horns and double coats — a soft downy underlayer and a long, oily outer coat — let them thrive in conditions other breeds can't.
Our herd is small by design. We know every cow by name. Visitors who book a ranch tour can meet them, learn their personalities, and (if you're lucky) get a slow, curious nose-bump from Maple.
The cattle aren't a side attraction — they're the heart of the property. They shape the pastures, fertilize the soil, and remind us that good food starts with good land.
